The Peachtree Corners City Council recently heard a request for a Montessori Day Care at 5688 Peachtree Parkway. Based on conditions that would have come with approval, the request has been withdrawn.

Had it been approved, the special use permit would have required a traffic management plan prepared and approved by the city’s Public Works and Community Development departments.

Additional restrictions would have required the building entrance to the day care center be located as far east of the building as possible in order to ensure that vehicle stacking occured on private property and not within the public right of way.

The day care center would have also be required to be fully licensed by all appropriate agencies and would not allow any overnight accommodations on the property.

The applicant plans to search for a different location. Assuming they find a site that better fits their needs, the applicant will reapply.
