The Peachtree Corners Veterans Monument Association will conduct the city’s first Memorial Day Ceremony with a video tribute to honor and mourn the military personnel who lost their lives while serving our country.

View the video on Memorial Day, May 25, via the city’s website: www.peachtreecornersga.gov, YouTube channel and Facebook page. The service will begin with the traditional lowering of the flags to half-staff at daylight. This will be followed by a musical interlude and includes volunteers installing 48 new pavers.

The ceremony will begin with an invocation, the National Anthem and Pledge of

Allegiance. Peachtree Corners Mayor, Mike Mason will speak, and Councilmember Alex Wright will lay a wreath to honor the men and women who died while serving in the U.S. Armed Forces. Both the mayor and councilmember are veterans of the U.S. Navy. The ceremony will conclude with raising of the flags to full staff at noon.

New pavers will be installed on the Veterans Monument the week of May 18. Volunteers are needed to help with the installation. To participate, contact Bob Ballagh at bob.ballagh@comcast.net.
