Peachtree Corners hopes to be known as metro Atlanta’s technology center. Gwinnett’s newest city offers a tax exemption to businesses in certain fields related to high technology, life sciences, information technology and intellectual property. These incentives along with other efforts to expand its Technology Park are attracting both new businesses and a flurry of business accelerators.
Already home to two startup incubators; Prototype Prime, the city supported startup incubator, and 22 Tech Park, an incubator for IT entrepreneurs, a third support center, a business accelerator, is set to open its doors just blocks from the current two incubators.
Atlanta Tech Park, a privately-owned business accelerator, will open Oct. 2 at 107 Technology Parkway offering programs for enterprises that have passed the incubator startup stage.
