A standing-room-only audience assembled at the March 19 meeting of the City Council of Peachtree City, only to be told that public comment and a vote regarding a proposed water park development would be postponed until April 16. The council voted 4-1 to delay action based upon the applicant’s request for a continuance until April 2.
Mayor Vanessa Fleisch said that city rules require a longer public notification period, which would put the issue on the April 16 agenda. Council members Kim Learnard and Mike King said they would wait in order for the council to hear Great Wolf Lodge’s revised “best offer,” but Eric Imker said he objected to citizens who wanted to give input being “jerked around.”
