Peachtree City is reminding residents not to stake out spots for its July 4 parade or fireworks display until after 6 a.m. Saturday. Tarps or blankets set out before then will be removed by city workers. Traffic will be restricted around the parade route on Peachtree Parkway South and along Ga. 54 in the evening.

Due to ongoing dredging, no one is permitted on the Lake Peachtree lake bed to view fireworks. Because state law permits personal fireworks until 2 a.m. during the holiday, the city says anyone disturbed by noise should “contact your state legislators.”
