Responding to inquiries from residents regarding street paving, Peachtree City is explaining its system for road projects. The city has a numerical rating system for all of its streets, and the priority is to repave the 64 miles of them with a rating under 80 (a 100 rating being “pristine”).

Paving will continue through at least 2019 on a “worst first” basis, using the $1.8 million allocated in this year’s budget plus revenue from the new Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax, although those funds won’t roll in until September.

The list of streets and their ratings is in the SPLOST Projects Manual at www.peachtree-city.org/splost.
