Peachtree City isn’t quite ready to offer sewer service to the town of Tyrone.

Despite an appearance by Tyrone Mayor Eric Dial at the city council meeting Thursday night, and support from the Peachtree City Water and Sewerage Authority, council members voted 5-0 to continue a proposal to allow up to 350,000 gallons of sewage per day to be pumped to Peachtree City for processing.

Council members asked for more information about the city’s future capacity vs. needs, and said they might consider a lower amount.

Other concerns related to future development along the Ga. Hwy. 74 corridor.
