Candidates interested in running for two Peachtree City council seats this fall can submit their paperwork through Friday.

The four-year terms being decided on Nov. 5 are for Post 1, currently held by Phil Prebor, and Post 2, held by Mike King. Both have announced their intention to run for re-election. In 2015, Prebor beat Shayne Robinson 79-21 percent; King ran unopposed. Candidates must be over 21 years old and a resident of Peachtree City for at least six months before the election. Paperwork and the $360 qualifying fee (cash, check or money order) can be submitted 8:30 a.m.-1 p.m. and 2-4:30 p.m. Aug. 19-23 at the clerk’s office at City Hall, 151 Willowbend Road.

Details and a link to forms are at https://peachtree-city.org/1176/Elections.
