As part of its annual budget allocations, the City Council of Peachtree City voted 5-0 on Sept. 6 to approve funding agreements for two local nonprofit organizations.

Fayette Senior Services, which provides transportation and meals as well as organizes social support and events for older residents, will receive $15,000 for fiscal year 2019. Promise Place, which offers education programs, a food pantry, a 24-hour hotline and other services to adults and children affected by domestic violence, will receive $10,000.

Both organizations received the same amount of city funding last year, and are required to re-apply for funds each spring.
