Faced with continued costs related to the repair of the Lake Peachtree dam, the City Council of Peachtree City voted 5-0 on June 4 to amend its current budget by adding another $100,000. The funds will be transferred from the General Fund reserve to the Public Improvement Project Fund for the project through the end of this fiscal year. The budget amendment allows for the payment of repair costs without having to allocate funds piecemeal. Any unspent money from the dam repair will carry over into the FY 2016 budget.
