Peachtree City has revised its ordinance pertaining to authorized uses of its golf cart paths. The City Council approved the changes to Article III, Sections 78-94 and 78-95, on Nov. 16.

The ordinance more clearly specifies allowable path use by pedestrians or those using golf carts, skates, skateboards, bicycles and wheelchairs. It still prohibits cars, trucks, motorcycles, mini-bikes, go-carts and horses, as well as motorized skateboards, scooters, trail bikes and play vehicles. Golf carts and low-speed vehicles cannot exceed, or be modified to exceed, 20 mph.

The change allows for better enforcement of path rules.
