Peace Plan unveiling to combat violence in six metro counties

Violence prevention advocates and elected officials will present a progressive Peace Plan Tuesday aimed at combating violence in six metro Atlanta counties.

The plan is sponsored by the Martin Luther King Jr. Center for Nonviolent Social Change and the Metropolitan Atlanta Violence Prevention Partnership, and coordinates programs throughout the metro area to impact thousands of residents.

The plan will be unveiled at 2 p.m. at the King Center, 440 Auburn Ave. NE.
