Residents in Milton may see a bevy of orange barrels around in the coming weeks.

That’s because a pair of annual paving projects in Milton are underway.

The pair of construction projects are at Redd Road and Taylor Road.

At the intersection of Redd and Hopewell Road, contractors are in the process of installing a right turn lane. In addition, workers will be patching and paving on Redd Road from Hopewell Road to Freemanville Road. The project began on Sept. 13 and is expected to be completed in October.

Milton will be doing a combination of what's known as full depth reclamation — where the existing road and underlying layers are pulverized and reused — and resurfacing at Taylor Road. With this segment of the paving schedule, Milton workers will cover Taylor Road from Batesville Road to 14850 Taylor Road.

The work on Taylor Road has begun and will be completed sometime in 2018.
