Georgia Department of Transportation crews began lane closures April 16 along Ga. 140/Jimmy Carter Boulevard for pavement improvements. The work, which is expected to continue through Aug. 2, will result in nightly lane closures from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. beginning about a mile from the Fulton/Gwinnett county line in Peachtree Corners and extend south to Interstate 85 through Norcross.

Crews will be repairing numerous flaws along the roadway including potholes and pavement cracks.

Exact dates may change depending on weather conditions or other issues. Drivers are asked to reduce speeds while traveling through the work zones and to watch for road crews.
