Crews in Milton began repaving Hopewell Road on Monday.

The work — weather permitting — is expected to last seven days.

Paving will begin at the roundabout for Hopewell, Francis and Cogburn roads to Thompson Road. Work hours are from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and motorists should expect heavy delays during construction hours, the city says.

To avoid this construction area, Milton transportation staff recommend taking Francis Road to Thompson Road to Hopewell Road — or the reverse of that alternate route depending upon your destination.

Inclement weather could delay the work by a day or two, the city says.
