Paulding County authorities on Thursday released two sketches of suspected police impersonators who already have robbed a driver.

A release from Sheriff Gary Gulledge said a black Ford Crown Victoria with a blue light on the dashboard stopped a female driver on July 6 in the southern part of the county. Two white men dressed in business attire approached the woman and one of them took her wallet. The sketches show each wearing a cap.

The men then fled the scene, police said.

The Sheriff's Office reminded drivers that if they are being pulled over they can proceed to the next well-lit area before stopping - but travel below the speed limit and with your hazard lights on. You can also call 911 to confirm that a Paulding sheriff's deputy is pulling you over.

Information on the suspected police impersonators can be reported to 770-443-3010.
