Due to construction of the new spillway on Lake Peachtree, Peachtree City has shut down part of the multi-use path along Kelly Drive and McIntosh Trail and established a temporary new path.
The detour, first announced in August, offers an alternate route for pedestrians, cyclists and golf cart users in the vicinity of the McIntosh Recreation Area, Huddleston Elementary School and the Peachtree City Community Garden. The detour will remain in place until dam construction ends, estimated for May 2018.
Automobile drivers on Fishers Luck are asked to reduce speeds and use caution because of the extra golf carts sharing the road.
