Hiram’s Main Street from the North Avenue intersection to the entrance of Hale Automotive at the railroad crossing near Arnold Lane will be closed to through traffic Monday to Feb. 11. Construction for the Main Street Improvement Project will cause the shut-down, but the roads will be reopened every day at 4 p.m.

The project foreman of Georgia Development Partners will be coordinating the closings with the residents along this segment of roadway, emergency responders and the School Bus Barn.

Funding for the $1.3 million project is coming from capital reserves and the special purpose local option sales tax.
