Parents on edge after alleged social media threat to school
A school representative in Gwinnett County says the school is aware of a possible threat made on social media.
Sloan Roach told Channel 2’s Audrey Washington the possible threat started over the weekend.
Sloan said she is only aware of a potential threat made against Shiloh High School.
She has not been notified about anything pertaining to Shiloh Middle School, she said.
There will be additional school resource officers at Shiloh High School Tuesday in an abundance of caution, Sloan said.
Channel 2 Action News viewers called overnight and into the morning with concerns about the possible threat.
Gwinnett County police said they are investigating.
Some parents say they are opting to keep their kids home.
We’re working to learn the latest from school officials and police for updates on Channel 2 Action News This Morning.
