Pair from Gwinnett charged in Hall County drug bust

Two Gwinnett County residents were arrested in Hall County on multiple drug charges, the Hall County Sheriff’s Office said.

Jerry Thomas Gober, 27, of Sugar Hill, and Summer Alaura Hughes, 22, of Buford, have each been charged with possession of heroin, possession of heroin with the intent to distribute, possession of methamphetamine and possession of methamphetamine with the intent to distribute.

Gober and Hughes were arrested by Hall County sheriff’s deputies in an investigation that was conducted with the Georgia National Guard Counterdrug Task Force and the Hall County Multi-Agency Narcotics Squad (MANS) Task Force.

Sheriff’s deputies found Gober and Hughes at the 3000 block of Thurmond Parkway in Oakwood on July 10, the sheriff’s office said. Deputies found the pair with $800 worth of meth and heroin, including a full syringe and scales. They were arrested and taken to the Hall County Jail.
