The Lawrenceville City Council voted Monday to approve the purchase of paint to mark underground utilities such as gas, electrical, and water lines for contractors and residents. Marking underground utilities prevents damaging the lines when digging.

This is the first of four annual renewal options with Galco Industrial Safety. The supplier is exercising a three percent manufacturer’s increase on line items four and five for a total base cost of $27,035.

This contract is funded by General Supplies and Material for Fiscal Year 2017 and the Specialty Supplies – Damage Prevention Fund in Fiscal Year 2018.
