The Oxygen network’s “Deadly Power” series on Monday night featured the story of DeKalb County Sheriff-elect Derwin Brown’s 2000 murder.

Brown, who’d just defeated Sheriff Sidney Dorsey for the county’s top law enforcement position, was followed to the driveway of his home on Dec. 15, 2000. Dorsey was later convicted of orchestrating the hit assassination of Brown, who’d been elected on his promise to clean up corruption and kickbacks that troubled the office for decades.

The Oxygen network's take on the case can be see on the channel's website.
