To encourage more review of the four alternatives that state transportation officials are considering to ease traffic on the northern arc of Interstate 285, officials have brought back an online mapping tool.

The tool, available at Revive 285, covers about 16 miles of roads, bridges and neighborhoods on the top end of I-285, between Interstates 75 and 85.

The map allows citizens to examine possible locations of public transit and review renderings of some intersection improvements, among other features.

The alternatives are the last step of the process before an environmental review for the area in 2011.
