An argument between roommates escalated into gunfire overnight that left one dead and the other in police custody, Fulton County police said.

The shooting happened early Monday at home in the 4800 block of Miller Road off Roosevelt Highway.

Fulton police spokeswoman Melissa Parker told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution that the two roommates had been “arguing all day,” when one “finally just pulled a gun and shot the other.”

Another person in the house called 911, Parker said in an e-mail.

When police arrived, they arrested the suspected gunman still at the scene.

Cazavious Gresham, 30, of College Park was identified as the deceased by the Fulton County Medical Examiner’s Office.

The name of the 29-year-old suspect has not been released.
