One person was killed and two others injured in a shooting Tuesday night at a DeKalb County apartment complex, police said.
The shooting happened about 10:30 p.m. at the Park at Bouldercrest complex on Bouldercrest Lane, according to DeKalb police spokeswoman Mekka Parish.
Parish told the AJC that a group of people was standing outside an apartment building when they were approached by at least two people who "for an undetermined reason" began shooting.
One man was pronounced dead at a local hospital, she said. Two other people, a man and a woman, were injured by the gunfire.
Parish said one of the survivors was in serious condition, and the other sustained wounds that were not believe to be life-threatening.
She also said detectives were still trying to determine on Wednesday whether there was a fourth victim.
Parish said investigators had no clear descriptions of the suspects, who ran from the scene after the shooting.
Tasha Colburn told the AJC that she was at the complex visiting her cousin Tuesday night.
“We were just sitting out here and all of a sudden, gunshots start flying everywhere,” Colburn said. “It sounded like the bullets were coming continuously – pow, pow, pow, pow, pow, pow, pow, pow.”
Colburn said the shooting had left residents of the complex shaken.
“There’s blood all over the ground,” she said. “People are really scared about if these guys are going to come back or where they came from.”
