One dead in tractor-trailer wreck on west Georgia interstate

One person was killed early Thursday in a tractor-trailer wreck on a west Georgia interstate.

The wreck happened about 7:30 a.m. on I-85 northbound north of Kia Boulevard in Troup County.

According to the Georgia State Patrol, the truck left the roadway and traveled into the woodline. No other vehicles were involved.

The identity of the person killed was not immediately available.

One of the two northbound lanes of I-85 was expected to be blocked until late morning.
