One person died early Friday when a truck ran off the road and burned in south Fulton County, police said.
Fulton County police spokeswoman Melissa Parker said the crash happened shortly after 6 a.m. on Camp Creek Parkway at Merk Road.
The southbound tractor-trailer left the roadway in a curve and struck a large cement pole, then caught fire.
“After impact, the vehicle continued to roll down a large embankment before coming to rest fully engulfed,” Parker said.
“Fulton County fire arrived on scene, extinguished the fire and noticed an unknown deceased victim inside the cab of the tractor,” she said.
