In preparation for a new waste hauler taking over service in Canton, the city is asking residents to leave their green trash containers on the curb through Oct. 5 so the old bins can be picked up and replaced with new, gray containers.

The swap-out to replace Waste Management carts with new ones for Advanced Disposal will take place on residents’ regular collection days, beginning Monday, Sept. 24, and continuing through the week, city officials said. Additionally, all routed recycle stops will have recycling containers delivered Thursday, Sept. 27.

Advanced Disposal takes over the city's residential waste-hauling contract on Monday, Oct. 1. Many routes have changed, and new routes and service dates are posted online at: https://bit.ly/2I4p5pg. For general information: https://bit.ly/2NvLJwM
