Officials announce Blackhall Road closing
Henry County officials released this detour map for motorists affected by the closing of Blackhall Road.
Henry County officials announced recently that Blackhall Road on the eastern edge of Lake Spivey will be closed to thru traffic between Walt Stephens Road and Jodeco Road beginning Aug. 12.
The reason is construction of a replacement bridge, and the work is expected to take approximately 60 days, according to officials.
The announcement on the county’s official Facebook page included a graphic showing detour routes, mainly consisting of eastbound travel on either Walt Stephens Road or Jodeco Road to Flippen Road, where motorists can go north or south to reach their destinations.
