A 27-year-old Austell man was sentenced Tuesday to spend a decade in prison for molesting a girl in the bathroom of where he worked, according to Cobb County prosecutors.

Eric Lashaun Walker was working June 17, 2015, when a 14-year-old girl walked into the bathroom at the Office Depot on Cobb Parkway, according to a Smyrna police warrant.

He followed her into the 8-by-8 bathroom and touched her, the warrant said. Walker didn’t know the girl.

“This defendant was a true predator that chose a victim of opportunity,” prosecutor Drew Healy said in a news release. “Our community is now safer due to this child coming forward and disclosing her abuse.”

Once released, Walker will spend another decade on probation.
