Off-duty Atlanta police officer found dead

An off-duty Atlanta police officer found shot to death at a Riverdale apartment complex Friday night was the victim of an apparent suicide, Clayton County police said Saturday.
The officer was identified as Michael Awe, 21.
The incident happened at the Chase Ridge Apartments on Chase Ridge Drive off Highway 85.
Awe was dead when officers arrived on the scene after being called around 9:30 p.m., Officer Cemetris Williams told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
