Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed on Tuesday did something he hasn't done in more than a month. He met with representatives of Occupy Atlanta in what one member of Occupy Atlanta described as a "very pleasant" meeting. Melissa Dramstad, one of about 20 people affiliated with Occupy Atlanta who gathered at City Hall, said the group told the the mayor that it planned to again occupy city parks beyond closing time. Occupy Atlanta was evicted from Woodruff Park in downtown Atlanta in October, and Reed has said the city's policies for closing times will be enforced. However, Occupy Atlanta seems to have no set plan for now, beyond camping out at soon-to-be foreclosed homes and the steps of courthouses in Fulton, Gwinnett and DeKalb counties. The group has taken up residence at the Peachtree-Pine homeless shelter in Atlanta.
