Milton Police are investigating a series of obscene text messages that a 16-year-old girl claims she received from a California music producer.

An officer reviewed a series of text messages that were sent to the teenager beginning in 2010. The teenager knew the producer because she had collaborated with him when she lived in California, and he knew that she was 16, according to the police report.

After Feb. 16, the producer allegedly started sending sexually explicit images of his genitalia to her phone.

The girl had not responded to any of the explicit messages. The Atlanta Journal-Constitution is not naming the suspect because no charges have been filed.
