Workers restored an angel statue in Atlanta's Oakland Cemetery.

The angel Gabriel gazes skyward as workers prepare to lift the marble torso back in place.

Replacing the angel "is the pinnacle of our restoration process," said David Moore, executive director of the Historic Oakland Foundation.

The angel statue was damaged when the monument to civil war governor Joseph Brown fell.
