Atlanta police are investigating a Monday night shooting that left a man dead.

The incident happened about 8 p.m. in the 900 block of Poland Street, in the Maddox Park area of northwest Atlanta.

The victim, whose name has not been released, appeared to have been shot multiple times, according to Atlanta police spokesman Eric Schwartz. The man later died at Grady Memorial Hospital.

Schwartz said Tuesday morning that no arrests have been made.

Police have not released a motive for the shooting.
