The YCT koi farm, in Hoschton, Ga., is home to between 10,000 to 15,000 kois, 9 wild boars and over 100 Thai chickens.

In 2001, the Thao family started a koi fish farm in Hoschton, Ga. Although it started with only 4 males and 2 females, today the farm has between 10,000 to 15,000 kois.

A native of China, Youa Chou Thao spends his day taking care of the 9.6 acre koi farm.

Youa Chou Thao holds a five-year-old koi priced at $4000.

Yer Thao (left), her husband Toa Thao, and father-in-law Youa Chou Thao manage the family YCT Koi Farm. Youa Chou Thao brought his family to the U.S. in 1976.

Also on the farm: 9 wild boars, over 100 Thai chickens and a vegetable garden

The YCT koi farm is free and open to the public, Monday - Friday, 9-6 pm. For more information, call 678.895.8461.
