The overcast start to the day was expected to lead to showers and scattered thunderstorms by Monday evening and overnight, Minton said.

Wet weather Monday and Tuesday will give over to drier air on Wednesday, Minton said, when a weather front will move into the area. With the front will come lower humidity and dry weather.
Georgia is socked in with tropical moisture today. Expect scattered showers and a few storms today and tomorrow. We can look forward to lower humidity and mostly rain free for the middle of the week. pic.twitter.com/ytKJvl6Fkt
