The Norcross City Council will vote July 5 to install a two-stall unisex bathroom at the Discovery Garden Park. Since the park has opened, it has hosted many events and social gatherings with attendance ranging from disabled children, school students, local officials, citizens, and visitors. As a result, the need for a bathroom has become a paramount issue.
The garden board is requesting the city move the bathroom installation back onto the schedule of construction for the park and to make it a major priority. The city council will vote whether to approve a total bid of $75,000, which includes a $5,000 contingency, for the design and installation of the bathroom.
