The Norcross City Council unanimously voted Monday to change the name of North Cemetery Street to Holcomb Bridge Road.

The name change is part of the city’s economic development effort, which includes the recent demolition of a couple of homes on the street and plans for a new streetscape project. North Cemetery Street serves as the main entrance to downtown Norcross.

South Cemetery Street, on the other side of Buford Highway, will retain its name.
