Two arborists have determined a green ash tree at Thrasher Park in Norcross needs to be removed due to damage. Officals also have determined the diseased tree is a safety hazard for children playing on the playground.

Once removed, the tree will be recycled for the children’s Learning Garden at Summerour Middle School by sectioning off the trunk and creating a seating area for the students.
