Norcross is currently seeking citizens to serve on the Planning and Zoning Board and the Sustainable Norcross Commission.

Members of the Planning and Zoning Board meet at 6:30 p.m. the first Wednesday of each month. This board makes recommendations to the city council on rezoning applications, special use permits, and changes to the city’s Comprehensive Plan and Unified Development Ordinance. Recommendations from the board are not binding but are meant to allow a full discussion and analysis of a request or project prior to the final decision of the mayor and council.

Members of the Sustainable Norcross Commission meet at 6 p.m. the second Wednesday of each month. This commission is 7-member citizen panel appointed whose purpose is to educate Norcross citizens and advise the mayor and council regarding sustainability and environmental matters through development of a city sustainability plan and regular communication.

Deadline to apply is Sept. 6. To apply visit www.norcrossga.net.
