The Norcross Police Department is hosting a 9-week Citizens Police Academy focusing police department operations and community partnerships. The Citizens Police Academy will explain how the police department operates and why police do what they do.

Topics will include administration and professional standards, uniform patrol and support service operations, types of crimes and investigations, legal process, code enforcement, traffic laws and traffic enforcement. Attendees will participate in demonstrations of fire arms training, CPR and the HERO unit.

The Citizens Police Academy will meet 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Thursdays March 9 through May 11 at Norcross City Hall, 2nd Floor Community Room.
