The Norcross Police Department has launched a Community Camera program in an effort to reach out to citizens and businesses with privately owned surveillance systems. As crimes occur nearby, the program enables the police department to use information that may have been captured on private security cameras.

Through the Community Camera program, citizens and businesses can register their surveillance systems with the police department. When a crime occurs in the area, police can then work with the citizen to access this private surveillance footage. Police believe the program can play an important role in the protection of its citizens.
