Norcross has several advisory boards and commissions with current openings for citizens. Among the openings are three spots on the Sustainable Norcross Commission.

The Sustainable Norcross Commission is a seven-member citizen panel appointed by the city council. The commission’s purpose is to educate citizens and advise the mayor and council regarding sustainability and environmental matters. Initiatives include green building, trees and green space, energy and water conversation, transportation and air quality, and recycling and waste reduction.
