Norcross citizens are invited to attend a reception to honor outgoing Mayor Bucky Johnson for his service to the community 6 to 8 p.m. Dec. 13 at the Norcross Cultural Arts & Community Center Ballroom, 10 College St. The event will also include a special presentation by council member and Mayor-Elect Craig Newton.
Mayor Johnson has led Norcross for 10 years. His recent accomplishments include development of the multi-family and library project surrounding Lillian Webb Park, the announcement of Pinnacle Park, continued greenway and trail development and city recognition this past year by the Atlanta Regional Commission as a Platinum-level Green Community.
