The Norcross Historic Preservation Steering Committee is working to designate a Norcross Commercial Core Local Historic District and would like community input. Citizens interested in participating can join an information meeting at 7 p.m. April 12 at the Norcross Community Center, 10 College St.

The group envisions preservation of the district and the properties within its boundaries will provide for local recognition and protection of Norcross’ unique character. All owners of historic and/or non-historic properties within the proposed district are being notified of this process and will be notified again for the formal recommendation by the Historic Preservation Commission at a public hearing. Date to be determined.
