A Norcross ad-hoc committee, convened to consider the establishment of a new veterans park, is ready to move forward with their ideas. The committee has met several times to visit potential sites and performed walk audits with city parks and recreation personnel.
The veterans park committee is now requesting City Council approval to bring in a professional to take their various ideas for location, monument, landscaping and parking to the design phase. The City Council has moved the item to the next policy meeting for next steps, including creation of a request for proposal documents.
