The Norcross City Council agreed to a request Monday for $4,270 to purchase plaques identifying trees in two city parks, known as the Tree Walk. The 13 plaques will include both the common and scientific names of each tree identified.

The Tree Board is also updating the Tree Walk brochure to reflect new trees planted and to remove any that have been replaced. In addition, the Tree Board is developing a mobile app to provide more information to visitors of the Tree Walk, which runs through Betty Mauldin Park and Thrasher Park.

A1 Signs will produce the signage using money shifted from the city’s hotel/motel fund.
