Norcross high school student Lilly Newton wants the community to have a permanent place in the city where they can find a kind and peaceful place promoting mental health. Lily attended the city’s Kindness Rocks community art event last summer at the Community Market and was inspired to start a permanent kindness rock garden within Norcross.

The Norcross Public Art Commission would like to help Lily see her idea come to fruition, and at their most recent city council meeting, Norcross leaders agreed.

The goal of the project, proposed to be installed at one of several possible locations in Pinnacle Park, would create a central place where the community can go to dwell on positive messages, spread kindness and improve the health of many.
