Nonprofits invited to Cobb grant application workshops

Five workshops will be offered by Cobb County in February and March to help officials from nonprofit organizations understand how to fill out grant applications for consideration of county grants. Five workshops will be offered by Cobb County in February and March to help officials from nonprofit organizations understand how to fill out grant applications for consideration of county grants. Cobb County Government will hold grant application workshops in February and March to help nonprofits interested in applying for consideration.

Cobb Community Development Block Grant Program staff are seeking grant program year 2020 applications for Community Development Block Grant, HOME Investment Partnership and Emergency Solutions Grant Programs.

Applications will be accepted Feb. 1 to April 5 and can be downloaded at CobbCounty.org/cdbg.

The workshops will provide more information to nonprofit officials who want to strengthen their organizations’ applications.

An overview of program eligibility, application requirements and detailed information on completing applications will be provided.

Here is the schedule:

  • 2 p.m. Feb. 19 at The Rosenwald School, 4861 School St., Acworth
  • 2 p.m. Feb. 21 at Hudgins Hall, Cobb Civic Center, 548 S. Marietta Parkway, Marietta
  • 2 p.m. March 7 at Ron Anderson Recreation Center, 3820 Macedonia Road, Powder Springs
  • 2 p.m. March 19 at Aline Wolfe Adult Recreation Center, 884 Church St., Smyrna
  • 2 p.m. March 28 at South Cobb Recreation Center, 875 Riverside Parkway, Austell
